Amalia Juliane is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, and a multi-disciplinary improviser based and raised in Brooklyn, NYC. Amalia blends their Brazilian musical roots with a raw rock edge, fueled by experimentation and not bound to genre.
In addition to being a vocal major both at LaGuardia High School and The New School, Juliane also learned boogie woogie piano and bossa nova guitar at a young age. Her work is influenced by Brazilian vocalists, 2010s pop stars, her songwriting teachers, as well as friends and musical peers. She currently resides in Chicago where she teaches all ages private lessons and early childhood music classes.
